The Medical Center Foundation serves as the fund-raising organization for the Heritage Valley Beaver.
Heritage Valley Beaver, was created with community support, and thrives today thanks to the generosity of our local communities, associates, patients and friends. The foundation exists to support the goals and mission of Heritage Valley Health System – to improve the health and well-being of all people in the communities we serve.
When you make a gift to the hospital, through its foundation, your gift goes directly to work, helping to improve patient care within the hospital and to support community health initiatives.

The Tito Francona Golf Classic was held in October 2007. This year's outing was held at Olde Stonewall Golf Club and Connoquenessing Country Club. One hundred seventy-six golfers participated in one of Beaver County's premier golf events.
In its 18th year, the Tito Francona Golf Classic has raised over $1.8 million to support oncology and cardiology services at Heritage Valley Beaver. This year's event raised over $110,000. This is the tenth year in a row the event has raised over $100,000 dollars.
A former Cleveland Indians’ and St. Louis Cardinals’ star and a member of the 1961 All Star Team, John “Tito” Francona started this outing in 1989 in memory of his late wife, Birdie, who was treated for cancer at Heritage Valley Beaver. After suffering cardiac arrest and undergoing heart surgery himself, Tito asked that the event benefit both programs.

Areas that will be enhanced through donor funding include:
- Emergency Department renovations
- Equipment needs
- Oncology/cancer projects, including radiology expansion/upgrades for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer
- Cardiology fund
- Nursing scholarships
- Community Health Services
Giving Options Include:
Memorial or Tribute Gifts – You may remember a loved one by making a memorial gift in their name. Or, you may give a gift to honor a loved one, physician, nurse, friend or acquaintance for a kindness or special occasion (birthday, anniversary, etc.).
Planned Giving – You can achieve your charitable goals and provide benefits throughout your life through planned giving options. They offer tax advantages for the donor, and income for Heritage Valley Beaver.
Annual Giving Club – You can join our annual giving club by making an unrestricted gift of $250 or more to The Founders Society for Heritage Valley Beaver. Funds are used to improve facilities and technology, partially support indigent care, support community health initiatives, and increase the hospital’s endowment to secure its financial strength.

Cash Donation – The most popular, convenient way to give a gift is through a general donation of cash. Your unrestricted gift goes where the need is greatest.
Non-Cash Gift – Stocks, bonds, mutual funds, certificates of deposit, real estate, life insurance policies, works of art, and other forms of property are types of non-cash gifts through which you may be able to realize significant tax savings.
Special Events - You can support the hospital by participating in foundation or auxiliary special events, such as our Tito Francona Golf Classic, wine tasting, or a black-tie gala.
Matching Gifts – Your employer may have a policy of matching your contributions to nonprofit healthcare organizations.
United Way – Please remember us when making your United Way contribution – Heritage Valley Beaver, is #1954 for the Beaver County United Way.
