Cardiac Rehabilitation offers services for cardiac as well as pulmonary patients. Our specially trained team consists of cardiologists, nurses, exercise physiologists and registered dietitians who are available to work with you to design a program to meet your specific needs.

Cardiac rehab is a 6-12 week outpatient program of monitored exercise and individual instruction and counseling in risk factor modification. These services are designed to help patients recover faster and return to full and productive lives. You can benefit from cardiac rehab if you have heart disease, such as angina or congestive heart failure, have had a heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery, valve replacement, heart transplant, balloon angioplasty or stent. Classes meet three times a week for about an hour. Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation services, will be exclusively offered at the Hopewell site. The program is coordinated by Mark Pazzanita, with medical direction provided by Robert S. Nitzberg, M.D.

Pulmonary rehab is an 6-12 week outpatient program of monitored exercise and strength training as well as education of patients with chronic pulmonary disease. Our goal is to return the patient to the highest possible functional capacity allowed by the individual's pulmonary disease. Education includes breathing retraining, energy conservation and other topics related to managing pulmonary disease. Classes meet 3 times a week for about an hour and are also available at the previously mentioned sites for patient convenience.
