An individualized rehabilitation plan is developed for each patient by an interdisciplinary team of rehabilitation specialists. The team is lead by a physiatrist – a physician that specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Each inpatient rehabilitation unit has a dedicated medical director who oversees all clinical operations of the program.

HERITAGE VALLEY BEAVER
Edward W. Heinle II, M.D.Edward W. Heinle III, M.D. is medical director of the inpatient rehabilitation unit at Heritage Valley Beaver. He graduated from University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2005. He served his Medicine internship at Allegheny General Hospital. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UPMC Mercy where he served as Administrative Chief, was a member of the Residency Education Committee, and received the Quality Patient Care award as voted on by the faculty and staff. Dr. Heinle is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a diplomate in the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine.

HERITAGE VALLEY SEWICKLEY
Tibor Ketzan, M.D.Tibor Ketzan, M.D. is the Medical Director of the inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Heritage Valley Sewickley. Dr. Ketzan has been the Medical Director of the Rehabilitation Services at Heritage Valley Sewickley since 1988. He graduated from Szeged Medical School in Hungary and completed his Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 1980. Dr. Ketzan has board certifications from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He has been a Member of the American Medical Association since 1982.
