Beaver, PA – (February 12, 2008) – Heritage Valley Health System is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Murphy to the new position of Vice President of Institutional Advancement. In this new role, Mr. Murphy will be responsible for the philanthophic functions of the health system through the foundations at the Beaver and Sewickley campuses. Additionally, Mr. Murphy will be administratively responsible for the communications, public relations and marketing functions of Heritage Valley Health System.

Prior to Heritage Valley, Murphy worked at Robert Morris University in several roles including Director of Development, Assistant Vice President for Development and External Affairs and most recently as Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement. He has also held positions in annual giving and development with the University of Maryland Medical System Foundation in Baltimore, Maryland, Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland and Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Mr. Murphy received his B.A. in English and his M.S. in College Personnel at Miami of Ohio University. He resides in Moon Township with his wife and three children.
