Beaver, PA – (April 16, 2008) – Beaver County residents who are pursuing education for a healthcare career are invited to apply for one of six scholarships (ranging from $500 to $1,000) that are being awarded by the medical staff of Heritage Valley Beaver.
This is the tenth year of this annual scholarship program in which physicians use medical staff dues to help local residents fund their healthcare education. Applicants must be in their senior year of high school or high school graduates and must be able to provide proof of matriculation in order to receive any scholarship monies.
Scholarship selection is based upon academic achievement, involvement in school and community activities, financial need, work and volunteer experience and plans for a career in a medical field. The application deadline is May 30, 2008. To download the application click here.
