Beaver, PA (January 22, 2009) – Heritage Valley Health System’s two philanthropic foundations, The Medical Center Foundation and Sewickley Valley Hospital Foundation, have announced their officers for 2009.
The 2009 officers for The Medical Center Foundation are: Chairman – Don Flick, Vice Chair – David Atcheson, DMD, and Secretary/Treasurer – Judy Madder.
The 2009 officers for the Sewickley Valley Hospital Foundation are: Chairman – Scott Elste, Vice Chair – Don Spalding, and Secretary/Treasurer – Greg Smith.
In addition, the Sewickley Valley Hospital Foundation welcomes four new members to its Board of Directors: Lynn Vescio, Dr. Shelly McQuone, Charlie Driscoll and Sean Henderson.

Lynn Vescio is director of performance improvement for VHA Pennsylvania. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Penn State University and a Diploma of Nursing from the Heritage Valley Sewickley School of Nursing. She also holds a Master’s in Professional Leadership from Carlow University. Lynn is a member of the Southwestern Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders and the American Nurses Association. She resides in Franklin Park with her husband Bill and two sons.
Dr. Shelly McQuone is a partner with Straka and McQuone, MD and chief of head and neck surgery at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital. She attended the University of Virginia as an undergraduate, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. McQuone subsequently graduated with a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Virginia and completed her residency in otolaryngology and a fellowship in head and neck oncology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She resides in Sewickley with her husband Dr. James Blaugrund and their two daughters.
Charlie Driscoll is a vice president and financial advisor with First National Bank Wealth Management. He is a graduate of Ohio University and resides in Sewickley with his wife Wayneen and their twin daughters.
Sean Henderson is district manager for Kelly Services – Pittsburgh. In addition, he is the new chairman of the Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce. Sean is a graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and resides in Moon Township with his wife Kim and their son and daughter.
