Moon Twp., PA (May 27, 2010) —Heritage Valley Health System has hired Marcia Ferrero as Vice President for Patient Care Services at Heritage Valley Beaver. Marcia is a previous Heritage Valley Sewickley employee and is a graduate of the Heritage Valley Sewickley School of Nursing. Most recently, she served as Division Director, Nursing for Allegheny General Hospital.

Marcia received a Master of Science Degree in Professional and Organizational Leadership from Carlow College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Carlow as well. She is board certified as a Nurse Executive Advanced by the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center.

She has held various management positions and her clinical background is in medical-surgical nursing, post anesthesia care, clinical quality and case management.

“We are very happy to welcome Marcia back to Heritage Valley,” said Rosemary Nolan, Chief Operating Officer of Heritage Valley Health System. “Marcia’s unique background as a nurse and an administrator will be beneficial to our patients and nurses alike.”

Marcia will be administratively responsible for nursing including all of the inpatient units, emergency department nursing, maternal child nursing, behavioral health and critical care. In this position she will be responsible for achieving excellence in the delivery of patient care to our patient and families.

Marcia and her husband Bruce reside in Sewickley.
