Moon Township, PA, (December 10, 2010) –Heritage Valley Health System has opened a new Endocrinology office in Beaver and welcomes two new physicians to the practice, Alejandro R. Gonzalez, M.D. and Noah D. Lubowsky, M.D. Endocrinologists are trained to diagnose and treat hormone imbalances and problems and care of many conditions including diabetes and thyroid diseases.
Dr. Gonzalez received his B.S. and Doctorate of Medicine degrees from the University of Santiago in Spain. He did his residency at West Penn Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Nephrology. Prior to joining Heritage Valley, Dr. Gonzalez has functioned as the Chief of the Nephrology and Endocrinology divisions and was the Medical Director of the Joslin Diabetes Clinic at West Penn Hospital. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and Temple University.
Dr. Lubowsky received his B.A. at Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY, and his Doctorate of Medicine at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn in Brooklyn, NY. He did his residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY and completed an Endocrinology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. Dr. Lubowsky is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. Prior to joining Heritage Valley, he worked at West Penn Hospital and Forbes Regional Hospital, and taught medical residents at West Penn. He is also an active member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
Heritage Valley Endocrinology is located at 1 Peartree Way in Beaver. Their office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. They are accepting new patients for endocrinology services, but patients may only be seen with a referral from their primary care physician.
