Moon Township, PA, (March 14, 2011) – Beaver County residents pursuing an education for a healthcare career field are invited to apply for one of six scholarships (ranging from $500 to $1,000) awarded by the medical staff of Heritage Valley Beaver.

This is the twelfth year of the annual scholarship program. Heritage Valley Beaver physicians designate a portion of medical staff dues to help local residents fund their healthcare education. Applicants must be in their senior year of high school or high school graduates and provide proof of matriculation in order to receive any scholarship monies.

Scholarship selection is based upon academic achievement, involvement in school and community activities, financial need, work and volunteer experience and plans for a career in a medical field. The application deadline is May 20, 2011.
