SALARY AND BENEFITS

Resident Staff
First year – 2 residents
Second year – 2 residents
Third year – 2 residents

Salary (2008-2009)
First year – $45,000
Second year – $47,500
Third year – $50,000
Program Benefits

  • Conference and travel allowance $1000 and 5 days for each year beginning in the second year
  • 3 Interview days in third year
  • Food allowance in the hospital cafeteria - $1800
  • Monogrammed lab coats - 3 per year
  • BLS and ACLS certification provided
  • Reimbursement of half of APMA/PPMA and ACFAS
  • Residents are responsible for providing their own living quarters

Leaves of Absence

A leave of absence (LOA) may be granted if a resident needs to be off for longer than 14 days or if he/she has used all PTO time. This is unpaid time off, and must be made up at the end of the residency. A resident must have completed six months of residency to be eligible for consideration for an LOA. LOA time granted is not to exceed six months in the three-year residency period.
