The School of Nursing offers an Advanced Placement Program for LPN applicants who meet the regular admission criteria, including the additional criteria listed below:
- Verification of current Pennsylvania practical nurse licensure.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience as an LPN within the last five years. This requirement is waived for LPNs who graduated from an accredited program within the past year.
- A decision score of 65 percent or higher on the Nursing Acceleration Challege Exam (ACE)—PN-RN
- The Admissions Committee may require a clinical challenge.
- Applicants accepted with advanced standing must successfully complete a 25-hour transition course.
