Heritage Valley Sewickley School of Nursing is a commuter School offering educational facilities that complement the strengths of the facility and curriculum. Located in northwestern Allegheny County, the School of Nursing is only minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, with easy access from I-79, I-279, Route 65 and Route 60.
The school features comfortable classrooms and facilities. The libraries within Heritage Valley Health System and affiliating academic partners are available for students.
The School of Nursing highly recommends students have a personal computer with internet access.
As a member of Heritage Valley Health System, the Heritage Valley Sewickley School of Nursing provides students with clinical experiences in medical-surgical, critical care, perioperative, obstetrical and psychiatric nursing at both of Heritage Valley's hospitals Heritage Valley Sewickley and Heritage Valley Beaver. In addition, pediatric clinical experiences are provided at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Psychiatric clinical experiences are provided at Mayview Hospital, Southwood, Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh. Geriatric and long-term care experiences are provided at Valley Care Masonic Center near Sewickley and Villa St. Joseph, Baden. Various other hospitals and community agencies are used to provide other clinical and observational experiences.
