Clinical: 120 hours

Using an eclectic and holistic approach, the student will learn about personality development, the cognitive and affective aspects of individual behavior, and communication. Students will have an opportunity to develop increasing therapeutic and interpersonal relationship skills, as well as increasing self-awareness. They will learn to develop, maintain and terminate therapeutic relationships. Clinical will offer experience in one-to-one interactions, as well as group process. The principles of psychiatric/mental health nursing guide the development and use of the nursing process as care is planned and delivered.
