Transfer Applicants
Applicants currently or previously enrolled in another school of nursing follow the same admission procedure. The Admissions Committee of Heritage Valley Sewickley School of Nursing reviews applicable records and retains the right to require repetition of some courses if necessary. The Registrar of the School of Nursing evaluates college credits previously received and determines courses acceptable for transfer. Applicants must have a minimum QPA of 2.5 in completed college courses.
Students who wish to transfer from another nursing program must complete the final level of the Heritage Valley Sewickley School of Nursing curriculum as mandated by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. A letter of recommendation from the administrator or a clinical instructor of the initial school is required. Nursing courses taken at another institution must have been taken within the past year.
