3/4 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick (3 inches long)
1 teaspoon whole allspice
3 tea bags
3 cups cranberry-juice cocktail
- In 1-quart saucepan, heat sugar, cinnamon, allspice, and 2 cups water to boiling over high heat, stirring occasionally. Remove saucepan from heat. Add tea bags; cover and let steep 5 minutes.
- Strain tea mixture into 8- by 8-inch metal baking pan. Stir in cranberry juice. Cover with foil or plastic wrap. Freeze until partially frozen, about 2 hours; stir with fork. Freeze until completely frozen, at least 3 hours longer or overnight.
- To serve, with spoon or fork, scrape across surface of granita to create pebbly texture.
