This is a nine-(9) hour group class that covers information related to diabetes self-care management. Topics include basic concepts of diabetes, nutrition guidelines, prevention of long-term complications, emotional aspects, carbohydrate counting, exercise and heart health. Individuals meet with a Certified Diabetes Nurse Educator prior to attending the first class.
