Dr. Kimberlee Hobizal is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon. Originally from a small, southern, coastal Texas town, she graduated with her Bachelor of Science at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She is a 2010 graduate from Des Moines University with a dual degree in Masters of Health Care Administration and Doctor of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery. Her residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center was followed by a one-year fellowship in Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Surgery & Diabetic Limb Salvage under the directorship of Dane K. Wukich, MD, in 2014.
She is part of HVMG Foot & Ankle practice and serves as Director of the Heritage Valley Beaver Podiatric Surgery Residency Program. Her responsibilities include training and educating residents and medical students. Dr. Hobizal also practices wound care at the Heritage Valley Wound Care Center, employing advanced wound care treatments and is certified in Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy. She is published in many scientific journals with an emphasis on diabetic foot infections, Charcot arthropathy, osteomyelitis, and surgery. She has spoken nationally and internationally at many conferences regarding her research on the foot and ankle.
