Blake Choplin, MD received his undergraduate degree in pre-medical studies and psychology from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana and his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital and his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease. While in residency he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Choplin met his wife while competing on the varsity track and field team at Notre Dame. They moved back to the Pittsburgh area to be closer to family. Both Dr. Choplin and his wife continue to enjoy running, though now it generally involves chasing after their young children.
