Dr. Lauer earned his B.A. degree in biology at Franklin and Marshall College and his medical degree from Georgetown University. He completed his residency in obstetrics/gynecology at Georgetown University Hospital where he served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Lauer served four years as an Ob/Gyn physician in the U.S. Air Force at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, New York. He served as chief of the Department of Obstetrics/Gynecology and of Anesthesia Services.
He joined the Heritage Valley Family Medicine Residency Program faculty in 1992. He also works in private practice with The Primary Health Network.
