Francis L. Lally, MD grew up in Sharon, Pennsylvania, and attended St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a B.S. in Biology. After completing his medical education at Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he fulfilled a medical internship and internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. He then completed a two-year fellowship at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he served as Assistant in Medicine. Following his fellowship, he worked at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh and was the Director of Non Invasive Cardiology and the Assistant Director of the CCU.
He began practice in Sewickley in 1984 at Sewickley Valley Medical Association. He helped organize the creation of U.S. Heart and Vascular, a city-wide Cardiology group, where he served as Vice President and eventually President of that organization. He performed as a Sub-Investigator for the ASSENT-II research study that was conducted at Heritage Valley Sewickley. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Heritage Valley Medical Group, and is the Director of Critical Care at Heritage Valley Sewickley. His areas of interest are noninvasive cardiology, pacemaker evaluation, nuclear cardiology and echocardiology. Dr. Lally is affiliated with and has hospital privileges at Heritage Valley Sewickley and Heritage Valley Beaver, and is Board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology.
