Heritage Valley Medical Group ConvenientCare expanded its reach
by opening a new walk-in clinic location in Imperial, PA. This, Heritage Valley’s
sixth ConvenientCare Walk-in Clinic, serves the West Allegheny area with
extended hours and treatment for minor illness and injury.
Heritage
Valley ConvenientCare offers prompt access to affordably priced acute and
preventive care for common health ailments treatable without emergency care, including
sprains, strains, sore throats, sinus infections, upper respiratory infections,
earaches, bladder infections, insect bites and stings, vaccinations, drug screening
and routine physicals.
“Our ConvenientCare walk-in
clinics provide a unique service we are pleased to offer in the West Allegheny area,”
said John Luellen, MD, chief operating officer, Heritage Valley Health System. “Open
every day, with extended hours and access to on-site X-ray and lab services, ConvenientCare
gives patients an option to receive care locally, instead of travelling to a hospital
emergency department for a minor illness or injury.”
The clinics
are designed to provide convenient, efficient and cost-effective healthcare access
for consumers and are connected to Heritage Valley’s electronic health record
(EHR) and electronic prescription program. This EHR system allows for automatic
medical record delivery to Heritage Valley associated physicians.
ConvenientCare
is located in the Heritage Valley West Allegheny medical neighborhood at 300 Penn
Lincoln Drive, off of Steubenville Pike. Other health care services at this location
include primary care through the office of Heritage Valley Medical Group’s
West Allegheny Healthcare practice of Todd McCaslin, MD and Marlynn Singleton, MD,
laboratory, diagnostic imaging and MRI services in the same building. Heritage Valley
Rehab and Staunton Clinic behavioral health services are also available across from
the main building in the strip mall at 400 Penn Lincoln Drive.
In
addition to the West Allegheny location, Heritage Valley operates ConvenientCare
walk-in clinics in Chippewa, Edgeworth and Ellwood City medical neighborhoods, as
well as in the Monaca, and East Liverpool, Ohio Wal-Mart stores. ConvenientCare
clinics are open 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m., Sunday. They are staffed by Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners
and supervised by Heritage Valley physicians.
