Heritage Valley Health System is pleased to welcome Kimberlee Hobizal, DPM, MHA as the Program Director of the Podiatry Residency Program at Heritage Valley Beaver. In addition to her role as Program Director she will be practicing clinically with the Association of Specialty Physicians (ASP) Orthopedic and Sports Medicine practice located in Beaver Medical Commons, 1030 Beaner Hollow Road, across from Heritage Valley Beaver.
Dr. Hobizal received her undergraduate degree from Baylor University in Waco, TX. She received her Masters in Health Care Administration and her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA. Dr. Hobizal then completed her Podiatry Surgical Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and went on to complete the prestigious Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. She is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Association, American Podiatric Medical Association and the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association.
The Heritage Valley Beaver Podiatric Residency Program is a three-year residency program approved by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education. Resident rotations range from vascular surgery, emergency medicine, internal medicine, rheumatology, endocrinology, radiology, plastic and anesthesia. Residents partake in podiatric medical and surgical rotations yearly, highly concentrated in the second and third years of training. There are a total of six residents with currently two residents per year.

Dr. Hobizal added, “Through my training, I hope to continue to evolve the three-year Heritage Valley Beaver residency into a comprehensive program highly centered on surgical procedures, podiatric medical practices, didactics and research.”
