Heritage Valley Health System and the Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) will host the “What’s On Your Plate?” Healthy Foods and Wellness Expo at CCBC’s Monaca campus Saturday, March 9, 2019. This free event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the CCBC Dome.
The Health and Wellness Expo is free and open to the general population as a community outreach and education event. The Expo will include live cooking demonstrations, free health screenings, live fitness demonstrations, expert health and wellness speakers, free food and product samples and also the chance to win door prizes.

More than a dozen Heritage Valley Health System services will be featured at the event including the da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgery System. Heritage Valley physicians will be on site presenting information on the use of the da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgery System for general and gynecological surgery. Expo attendees will get the opportunity to get a hands-on demonstration of the robot.
Other Heritage Valley participants will be conducting presentations, offering free screenings and delivering health information on topics including nutrition, women’s health services, community health services, lab services, physical rehab, Ask A Doctor, Ask A Dietitian, Ask A Chef, ConvenientCare and more.
In addition to Heritage Valley Health System, more than 80 exhibitors will be at the Expo. Sharing information on health and wellness will be: American Red Cross, Beaver County Farmers’ Markets, Beaver County YMCA, Brenckle’s Organic Farm & Greenhouse, B-Well Nation Fitness Center, Health Hut Stores, Hello Fresh, Hello Hummus, Island Fresh Skincare, Just Right Spice – Snakeguy’s Pepper, McConnells’ Farm & Market, McCormack’s Apiaries, Panera Bread, Pittsburgh Ballroom, Pittsburgh Botanic Garden, Rent The Chicken, Seaman Family Farms, The Happy Vegan, The Knee High Beekeepers, Two Rivers Olive Oil Company, Two Ugly Mugs Gourmet Salsa, Weatherbury Farm and many more.
Special guests include Janet McKee, best-selling author, speaker, wellness expert, and CEO of SanaView, presenting “Life is Sweet! Truly Decadent Yet Healthy Desserts,” the PA Grape Queen & Princess and Leslie Sansone’s Walk 15 Ambassador Team.
Special activities and demonstrations include a ballroom dance demonstration and free lessons by Pittsburgh Ballroom, a fun photo booth, hands-only CPR with the American Red Cross and a “1-Mile Walk Concert” presented by Leslie Sansone’s Walk 15 Ambassador Team (Walk concerts are a division of Leslie Sansone’s Walk at Home program).
