In response to the opioid crisis, Heritage Valley Family Medicine Center in collaboration with the Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls, and Beaver County Behavioral Health, Drug and Alcohol Program is providing free Naloxone training events to the Beaver Falls community. The next session is scheduled from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, Thursday, March 19, 2020, at the Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls, 1301 7th Avenue Beaver Falls PA 15010.
At the training, participants will learn how to recognize signs of opioid overdose, how to give Naloxone to a person who has an opioid overdose, practice giving Naloxone on mannequins with a Naloxone demo kit, obtain Beaver County’s specific data of opioid overdose. Each participant will receive a free Naloxone kit.
