Heritage Valley Health System held its first full day of COVID-19 testing today, March 23, 2020 at the Heritage Valley Center Township Medical Neighborhood. There were 48 test samples taken for patients that had a physician order for the test from a Heritage Valley physician. Additionally, samples were taken from another 23 individuals with physician orders on Friday, March 20 as the Health System trialed the process.
The patient must have a physician order entered in the Heritage Valley ordering system for COVID-19 testing. Once the order is in the Heritage Valley system, patients can schedule a drive-up appointment by calling Heritage Valley Scheduling at 1-800-721-6237. Community COVID-19 testing will continue at the Center Township location, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
