Cervical Health Awareness Month
January is Cervical Health Awareness Month, which makes this a good time to remind women to schedule their annual exams with their GYN physician. According to the National Cervical Cancer Coalition, more than 14,000 women in the United States are diagnosed with invasive cervical cancer each year, yet the disease is preventable with vaccination and appropriate screening.
