New Online Payment Portal Available
As you may have heard on the news, Change Healthcare (a technology company that is part of Optum and owned by the global health company UnitedHealth Group) was the victim of a cybersecurity incident on February 21, 2024 that impacted the submission and payment of health insurance claims nationwide. Change Healthcare is the largest processor of medical claims in the United States. After being made aware of the breach, Change Healthcare disconnected their systems to prevent further attacks and to protect their partners and clients. This has resulted in disruptions to claim filing that may continue until Change Healthcare has fully resolved the issue. Because Heritage Valley Health System is one of Change Healthcare’s clients, this unfortunately left us with the temporary inability to process online bill payments from our patients.
We realize that not being able to use credit/debit cards for bill payment is an inconvenience for our patients, and we are pleased to announce that Heritage Valley has now partnered with RevSpring, an innovative and award-winning provider of payment and communication solutions, to enable our new online portal for securely paying your bill. Please visit www.heritagevalley.org to pay your bills online. In the coming months, we will continue to enhance the new online portal to provide an overall better financial experience, including mobile payment options and other self-service conveniences.
