To expand its reach and further serve the community during this coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Heritage Valley Health System is opening a COVID-19 drive-through test collection site at the Heritage Valley Moon Township Medical Neighborhood, 935 Thorn Run Road, Moon Township.
Beginning Tuesday, March 31 the Moon Township testing location will operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on an ongoing basis. This is Heritage Valley’s second community COVID-19 testing location. Testing currently occurs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at the Heritage Valley Center Township Medical Neighborhood. Testing is available for patients older than 12 years old.
Testing will only be available for patients who have an authorized order from their Heritage Valley provider in advance of arriving at the testing site. An appointment must be scheduled through Heritage Valley Scheduling at 1-800-721-6237. Appointments will be scheduled every 10 minutes.
Testing will occur at the Lower Level of the Moon Township location. Patients will be able to drive up to the testing site and remain in their car while clinical staff collect the nasal test sample. A photo ID is required. Results of the test will be available 1-4 days after collection.
After having samples taken, individuals are strongly encouraged to self-quarantine at home until the test results are received. They will be contacted by their Primary Care Physician with results.
Regular lab and diagnostic services at Heritage Valley Moon Township are closed until further notice beginning Monday, March 30, 2020. Individuals requiring routine lab or diagnostic imaging services are encouraged to visit Heritage Valley Edgeworth, 100 Hazel Lane in Sewickley, or Heritage Valley Robinson Township, 2201 Park Manor Drive in Robinson Township.
