Heritage Valley Health System will be hosting two community health fairs
in the upcoming weeks. The fairs are free and open to the public.
The
first will be held on Wednesday, May 28 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
at the Heritage
Valley Family Medicine Center located at 1125 7th Avenue in Beaver Falls.
The event, which is sponsored by the Heritage Valley Family Residency Program and
Community Health Services department, will feature free health screenings and information
about various Heritage Valley services and community services. Heritage Valley
Health System will have information on diabetes education, Breath ‘n Easy
pediatric asthma program, Staunton Clinic behavioral health, Women’s Health
Center heel screenings, and family planning. Other community organizations at the
event include: Head Start, Women, Infants & Children’s Department,
Beaver Falls Police bike safety, Aids Coalition’s Project Hope Aids screening,
Gateway drug & alcohol, Beaver County Office of Aging, Beaver County Children
& Youth Services and Human Arc assisting with those applying for medical assistance.
The
second health fair will be Saturday, June 7 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00
p.m. at The Mall at Robinson and will take place in the Mall’s Rotunda
area near Banana Republic. The Health Fair at The Mall at Robinson will include
booths featuring health screenings, Heritage Valley SportsCare, nutrition
services, Heritage Valley information, and “Ask a Doc” from Dr. Melissa
Kashlan from the Heritage Valley Robinson Township Medical Neighborhood.
