Welcome! We appreciate your interest in Beaver Internal Medicine Association as your medical provider.  Our Physicians and Staff are dedicated to serving our patients with up to date care in a  courteous, prompt  and professional manner.

The Physicians of BIMA, David R. Jansma MD, Matthew L. Wright, DO and John Wohar, DO are Board Certified in Internal Medicine and certified by the NCQA for the management of Diabetes. Completing continuing medical education each year and participation with major Insurance companies Clinical Quality initiatives enables our providers to keep updated with the latest in medical treatments and clinically recommended guidelines.

We are a progressive office linked to Heritage Valley Health System via a fully Electronic Health Record. In addition, we utilize an automated prescription submission system, prompted telephone system, automated appointment reminders and are participating with the interactive Heritage Valley Patient Portal called Health Link.

New Patients

We are accepting New Patients from the age of 16 years and up.  Please print out and bring a completed New Patient Packet with you to your initial appointment.

Appointments:

Our office hours are by appointment only Monday through Friday.  Same day appointments are on a first call, first served basis with any available Provider, including our Physician Assistant Megan Hantz.  If we are unable to see you the same day for a non-emergent problem, we may direct you to visit one of the Heritage Valley Convenient Care Centers.

We ask that you plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment so that we can update your information in our computer and prepare you for your visit.

An automated Reminder call will be made two days prior to your office appointment.  If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible as we do reserve the right to charge a No Show fee if your appointment is not kept or cancelled within 24 hours.

Physicals:

Most Physical exams required for School, Work or travel are not routinely covered by insurance.  For these types of exams we charge an up-front fee of $55.00.  Additional procedures such as injections or TB testing are charged separately.  DOT Physicals are not performed in our office.

Most prescriptions and refill requests are able to be sent to the Pharmacy via our automated system.   We make every attempt to complete all requests daily, but be aware that it could take up to 24 hours before your prescription is available at the pharmacy.

Please provide us with the following information when you call in:

  • Patient’s full name
  • Date of birth
  • Name of medication
  • Strength of medication
  • How often you take the medication
  • Quantity you need ( 30 day or 90 day quantity)
  • Pharmacy name

Please also let us know if you are completely out of your medication.
