The practice of Internal Medicine Specialists has been serving the tri-state area for 20 years. We are located 15 minutes from the Pittsburgh International Airport off of Route 376 and are close to the West Virginia and Ohio borders. We provide care to our patients in our primary care office setting as well as a few personal care and nursing facilities in the area. We welcome new patients and accept most insurance plans.

We are primary care specialists trained to diagnosis, treat, and prevent all illnesses that affect adults.  We care for patients in the office and nursing home settings.  Our physicians are board-certified in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine respectively and involved in continuing medical education each year to keep updated with the latest in medical treatments.

About Us

Dr. Gandhe is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Specialist. She sees adults 18 and older. Dr. Pfeiffer is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician who sees patients ages 5 and older. Dr. Gehrlein is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician and sees patients 18 and older. Lara Trushel, PA-C is certified in Family Medicine and can treat patients 5 years and older. We currently offer evening hours by appointment. Two of our physicians are DOT certified.

Our office accepts Medicare, Medicaid and all of all the major insurances.

We ask that all new patients bring their insurance cards with them and all of their medications.  You will need to fill out new patient forms before seeing the physician.  Also if you have any co-payments these are due at the time of your visit.  Our office accepts cash, check and credit cards.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call our office at 724-770-7171 at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time.  This way we are able to offer this appointment to someone else who needs to be seen.

We accept most insurance including Aetna, Cigna, Highmark, Medicare, PA Medicaid, United Healthcare and UPMC Health Plan. Please call for more information.

Education

Patient Education Resources

Appointments are made by availability with each provider. In the event of an acute illness, the patient will receive an appointment with the first available provider. Co-pays are due at the time of service. Prescription refills are to be requested at your appointment or you can leave a request on the automated system. It may take up to 72 hours to refill a phone request.

No messages will be taken for prescription refills or appointment requests and cancellations after office hours.  Please call during regular business hours for these services.
