HVMG Urology
Lauren Ryan, MS, PA-C earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Carlow University. She is certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine.
Lauren first joined Heritage Valley in 2018, working as a Neurosurgical PA-C. Prior to that, she worked as a Neurosurgical PA-C with Butler Memorial Hospital and Highmark Health. She has been with Heritage Valley Multispecialty Group Urology since 2023.
Richard D. Burns, MPA, PA-C earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Duquesne University. Prior to completing his degree, Richard earned a Paramedic Certification from the Pittsburgh Center for Emergency Medicine and worked as a Paramedic for the City of Pittsburgh – Bureau of EMS.
Richard joined Heritage Valley Multispecialty Group Urology in early 2026 with a great deal of experience. Following graduation, he first worked as a Physician Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in the Division of Neuro-Oncology. He next worked at Mercy Hospital in the Division of Urology, followed by employment as a Urologic Physician Assistant by Valley Urological Associates in Sewickley and Kennedy Township. Richard’s most recent role, prior to joining HVMG Urology, was a Urologic Physician Assistant at Sewickley Urology Associates.
