Hand therapy is provided by Occupational Therapists who specialize in rehabilitating patients with conditions affecting the hands and upper extremities. The goal in treatment is to return patients back to optimum function in their daily lives and work, leisure, and self-care. Exercise programs are aimed at improving strength, endurance, and function. A variety of modalities are used to decrease pain and promote joint motion. Diagnoses often seen in the clinic include fractures, arthritis, wrist tendonitis, wounds, scars, and repetitive motion disorders, such as carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow. We have Certified Hand Therapists on staff.
