Orthopaedic Specialty: Hip & Knee
Andrew Waligora, M.D. graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his residency at the University of Florida Department of Orthopaedics. During his residency, Dr. Waligora was named “Outstanding Resident Educator” twice, elected as the department representative for the American Orthopaedic Association resident leadership forum, served as the state of Florida’s resident representative at the National Orthopaedic Leadership Conference, and was recognized for his patient service on several occasions.
In order to gain the expertise required to provide comprehensive hip and knee arthroplasty services, Dr. Waligora completed the VCU-Medical College of Virginia Adult Reconstruction Fellowship. During this year, he received exposure to a variety of complex cases. He also developed research and clinical interests that include: appropriate surgical indications, pre-operative optimization, post-operative pain management, partial joint replacement, nanosensor technology, primary hip and knee replacement, revision hip and knee replacement and the treatment of prosthetic joint infections.
Dr. Waligora is currently accepting patients at the GPOA offices located in Cranberry Twp., Moon Twp., Sewickley and Shadyside.
