James K. Tatum, MD was born in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He earned his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine and completed his residency there as well. Prior to moving to Western Pennsylvania, Dr. Tatum was a member of the United States Air Force and worked as physician at the Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota. He joined Heritage Valley Medical Group in 1986.
In addition to his practice, Dr. Tatum has spent time teaching PA students from Slippery Rock, St. Francis University and Chatham College. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the President of the Beaver County Medical Society.
