Heritage Valley Health System completed an expansion and renovation of
current services in Imperial, PA to create its sixth Medical Neighborhood location,
Heritage Valley West Allegheny. Heritage Valley West Allegheny offers a variety
of health care services in one convenient location.
Since 1987,
West Allegheny Healthcare has provided primary care to the surrounding communities.
In recent years Heritage Valley added physical rehabilitation and behavioral health
services at the location. Expansion to a full medical neighborhood brings a wider
range of services to the community.
“We’re pleased to
expand services in the West Allegheny area to create Heritage Valley’s sixth
medical neighborhood,” said Norm Mitry, president and CEO, Heritage Valley
Health System. “Making quality health care accessible to people in the communities
we serve is the mission of Heritage Valley. Our medical neighborhood strategy has
helped us accomplish this part of our mission.”
A “medical
neighborhood” is a one-stop shopping concept and design that provides patients
with the convenience of accessing primary care, as well as outpatient and diagnostic
services in one community location. Heritage Valley West Allegheny adds a ConvenientCare
walk-in clinic, lab, diagnostic imaging, and MRI services to the existing primary
care, physical rehabilitation and behavioral health services.
Heritage
Valley West Allegheny is located at 300 Penn Lincoln Drive off of Steubenville Pike.
Primary care is offered through the office of Heritage Valley Medical Group’s
West Allegheny Healthcare practice of Todd McCaslin, MD and Marlynn Singleton, MD.
The practice was remodeled as part of its inclusion in the medical neighborhood.
Heritage
Valley West Allegheny also features the area’s first walk-in clinic, ConvenientCare.
ConvenientCare is open 7 days a week with extended hours, providing treatment
for minor illness and injuries by a staff of Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners. No
appointments are needed for ConvenientCare.
In addition to
primary care and walk-in clinic services, Heritage Valley West Allegheny includes
a laboratory draw site, diagnostic imaging and MRI services in the same building.
Heritage Valley Rehab and Staunton Clinic behavioral health services are also available
across from the main building in the strip mall at 400 Penn Lincoln Drive.
“This
newest location provides our patients in the West Allegheny area with expanded,
high quality health care services when and where they need it,” added Mr.
Mitry. “Identical to other Heritage Valley locations, each is fully connected
to our electronic health record system, providing an unprecedented continuity of
care for our patients.”
Other Heritage Valley Medical Neighborhoods
are located in Chippewa, Edgeworth, Moon Township, Ellwood City and Robinson Township.
Other ConvenientCare walk-in clinics are located in the Chippewa, Edgeworth
and Ellwood City medical neighborhoods as well as the Monaca and East Liverpool,
Ohio Walmart stores.
