The Heritage Valley Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery program has expanded its vascular surgical offerings to the Heritage Valley Sewickley campus. The program housed at Heritage Valley Beaver since 1994, has opened an additional Vascular Surgery office located within Heritage Valley Sewickley Hospital.
Rajdeep Sandhu, M.D., M.M.M., F.A.C.S. received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School and completed a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at University Hospitals, Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Sandhu is board certified in Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Edward Villella, M.D., RPVI received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and completed a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Villella is board certified in Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
The Endovascular / Vascular Surgery program offers a broad range of services including the management of peripheral arterial disease, extracranial cerebrovascular disease, aneurysmal disease, vascular access, venous and lymphatic pathology. Endovascular technology has revolutionized vascular treatment models and often patients can be treated with minimally invasive techniques such as stents, stent-grafts, angioplasty, atherectomy, etc., and leave the hospital within 24 hours.
