Heritage Valley Health System welcomes Muhammad Arif, MD, to the Heritage Valley Beaver Medical Staff. Dr. Arif provides comprehensive treatment for chronic pain at a newly established office on the 2nd floor of Heritage Valley Beaver.
Dr. Arif’s expertise is in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain problems that are unresponsive to rest, conservative measures, medications, physical therapy or chiropractic manipulation. He utilizes a multimodal approach to chronic pain management, which includes judicious medication management, interventional procedures, physical therapy and behavioral approaches to decrease pain.
Dr. Arif is board certified in Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is member of the American Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR) and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management (ASRA). He completed a fellowship in pain medicine at UPMC and residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
