About Us

The Heritage Valley Health System / La Roche University Radiography Program is a full-time, primarily daylight program, and mandates attendance during two summers.

Our incoming classes start at the end of August. Our New Student Orientation is held annually in mid-July. Although schedules may vary, students typically attend classes at the Hospital 2 to 3 days per week during the fall and spring semesters, and 3 to 5 days per week during summer sessions.

School Partnership

As previously mentioned, the Heritage Valley Health System School of Radiography partners with La Roche University for our Radiologic Technologist Program. With this program, students are given the chance to enjoy both theoretical and clinical studies, in addition to taking various General Education Requirements. They also benefit from an “on campus” experience if they choose to live in the La Roche dorms.

After graduation, our students are eligible to take the national certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Students passing the national certification examination with a score of 75% or higher are then recognized professionally as registered radiologic technologists.

Many of our graduates actually go on to obtain their Bachelor’s Degree upon graduation from our program.
